Creating Church
The Sheffield Centre

The Church Army Sheffield Centre is a useful resource for starting church in new housing areas.

The Church Army Sheffield Centre has produced
  1. 'New Housing, New Partnerships' available through www.encountersontheedge.org.uk. This looks at some of the issues and probably more 'Encounters on the Edge' will follow it up. One such is being written about an Australian church on a new housing estate where there is no community as everyone commutes away for work.
  2. 'Simpler Church: where time is at a premium': is the latest on the 'Encounters' website
  3. A database of Church Plants and Fresh Expressions, you can access by ask@shefieldcentre.org.uk. See the website www.encountersontheedge.org.uk. Look up 'Your Church Plant?' for more details.
